About Us
Cork Chess Club is a small club, of about 70 members ranging
in age from eight to eighty!. We meet most fridays at 8pm in the bridge
club, which is located at 36
Patrick's Quay.
For the summer months of June, July and August the club is closed, but
a few members may still frequent the club during this time.
Over the last number of years we have grown steadily and now cater for
all levels of play from
beginner to expert and have recently begun coaching at the lower
levels.
This year we have three teams competing in the munster leagues, with
the A team
in a tight battle with Sarsfields and Ennis for the title.
New members are always made very welcome! Just turn up on the night, or
contact us.
Membership
Adult - € 40.00
Child / Student - €25.00
Adult + child = €50.00
Adult + 2 Children = €70.00
3 Children = € 60.00
Weekly Sub
Adult - €5.00
U18 - €2.50
Adult + child = €5.00
Adult + 2 children = €7.00
3 Children = €5.00
Yearly Option
Single adult fee for season 08/09 : €170.00
Single U18 fee for season 08/09: €90.00
This will include membership + all weekly subs up to May 09. Payment
due by 24th October to take advantage of this.
Note you do not get a refund of weekly subs paid up to when you choose
this option.
Also, should you use the club facilities during the summer months,
there is a fee of €3.00 per person.
Any cheques should be issued to "Cork chess club" and crossed account
payee only,
All membership fees will be issued with a receipt.
